Bill Herman has been painting since two-years old. At 17 years of age as a result of a broken heart,  he learned to meditate and acquired a camera and photographic darkroom. At 18 years old he formally pursued his Art Education eventually graduating from the School Of The Art Insitute of Chicago with Bachelor's of Fine Arts and  Master's of Fine Arts degrees.  He has taught Photography, Art,  Meditation, and Youth Empowerment for over 50 years internationally and has never stopped practicing creativity and  inspiring others to follow their hearts. 

At the age of 19 one of his fellow art students handed him a quote from the great Modern Dancer, Martha Graham:

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action........and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. The world will not have it.
It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable, nor how it compares with other expressions.
It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open.
No artist is pleased nor has he/she any satisfaction at any time. There is only a queer divine dis-satisfaction,a blessed un-rest,that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others. -Martha Graham
